New Music: Blitzen Trapper, Tokyo Police Club, Ratatat

Oh, heavens.  It’s been awhile since the last big new music Tuesday.  Sure, there’s been some strength here and there, but the blockblusting weeks of May 18th and a few other weeks later this summer have been absent.

We know three bands you should put an ear to if you haven’t already.  LIVE MUSIC BONUS:  INLE will be seeing – live and in person – one of these bands later this very evening (SUPER excited about that).

Blitzen Trapper.  Sub Pop Records (if you don’t know their roster, please inquire here, it’s quite dope).  We’ve really enjoyed their last two albums and expectations are running high.  We haven’t heard very much from the latest, but we’re looking forward to it.  Here’s dos.

Tokyo Police Club.  We’ll have something to say on their live set later this week.  HEY ATLANTA!  CRIMINAL RECORDS (nice) IN-STORE WITH PASSION PIT ON WEDNESDAY!  Go.  We hadn’t heard much of the new one until we started shoveling through youtube.  We likey.

Ratatat.  BANG THE CLUB, CLUBBERS!  Good stuff here.  Get up.  Get moving.  They were crucial to the awesomeness that Kid Cudi‘s Pursuit of Happiness became and they don’t appear ready to slow down from that.  Here’s one from LP4.
