This San Francisco, California foursoume just released their second full-length album, Bears & Bulls, this week. Of all the potentially unheard of bands we listen to week to week, this one caught our attention immediately . . . so here I am giving them their own post.
The Stone Foxes might not have a necessarily unique sound, but they do have strong influences. This an ongoing argument I hear all too often: Is it better to innovate and influence than follow someone else with your own twist? I don’t believe that you can do one without the other; the former would seem to occur with a collective evolution of the latter.
Regardless, if you love classic rock with a touch o’ blues, dancing and nodding your head, The Stone Foxes should certainly be worth a listen. We also like that, from what we’ve read, their focus seems to be on writing songs and music around their live performance. We’d never really disagree with that.
Here’s a couple from Bears & Bulls. The Stone Foxes . . . if you haven’t already heard.
